Hillsboro’s Living Library – Saturday, February 7, 2026 / 10AM – 2PM
Our Living Library is a community program where people get to ask and answer interesting and unique questions to learn about local history and to share lived experiences. The idea is to focus on dialogue and understanding rather than traditional book borrowing.
There are many interesting “books” (people who know about, and have lived in and near Hillsboro with unique perspectives!) in this living library. They will be available for “checkout” on Saturday, February 7, from 10 am to 2 pm at the Brookwood Library.
Living Libraries function like normal libraries with browsing, borrowing (for short talks), and returning, but the “books” are individuals with unique perspectives, and “readers” are encouraged to ask questions to learn.
The geographic focus of this living library is the City of Hillsboro, the Tualatin Plains area, and Washington County.
Please come and join the conversations!
